According to a newly released poll, 1 in 4 Democrats do not want President Obama to be nominated as their candidate in the 2012 election.

My how times have changed. Just 2-years ago, Obama was the Democrats' darling, who seemingly could do no wrong. With emphasis on the word seemingly, as he has experienced a massive erosion of support from both sides of the aisle. Current polls continue to indicate, a generic Republican challenger would beat ("wallop") President Obama in the 2012 election. Republican governor, Rick Perry currently leads the pack, as the man people want as the next president of the United States.

Her latest reality show "The World According To Paris Hilton" has been unceremoniously cancelled by cable network, Oxygen, for exceptionally poor ratings. The show averaged 400,000 viewers per episode, which once again, is less than a number of pop culture blogs' readership, but at one hundred thousand times the budget. When ratings are that low, it doesn't make sense to even turn on the camera. I'd leave the lens cap on and patronizingly nod at her like the camera was filming.
When infomercials are pulling in higher ratings than you do on television, it's time to give it a rest. That's what Hilton gets for not having a massive, constantly publicized, nouveau riche wedding and butt implants that requires two surgeons to put them in.
It's official, Hilton's time in the spotlight is over. She has become a pop culture relic. Considering the negative influence Hilton's had on young girls, teaching them by example to be n-word issuing, sexually promiscuous, STD transmitting, publicity hungry, pot smoking, coke snorting exhibitionists, this is for the best. With so many gifted people out there, networks need to do better to present more positive images to the public. The talent is out there, but regrettably, it is who you know and whether they can get you on television or radio.
Former Los Angeles Lakers basketball player, Jarvis Crittenton, was arrested at an airport in California, on murder charges, in connection with the shooting death of 23-year-old mother of four, Jullian Jones. Crittenton stated today he is not guilty of the charges.
Crittenton is accused in legal documents of shooting Jones in error on an Atlanta street, out of revenge for a robbery in April, where hundreds of thousand of dollars in jewelry was stolen from him. According to the Atlanta Journal and Constitution newspaper, Jones was walking with two men and it is believed one of them was the intended target.

Jones died during surgery, after being shot in the leg. That's the danger of shooting someone in the leg to teach them a lesson, as piercing the femoral artery can result in a hemorrhagic episode and rapid death, which is just as dangerous as a bullet to the head. The temptation is there to resort to revenge when one is wronged, but it is not the answer, as many incidents on legal dockets have so painfully revealed.
If he is found to have been responsible for this shooting, it is regrettable 23-year-old Crittenton did not completely turn the case over to the police, rather than taking matters into his own hands. Previously, Crittenton, who was a multi-million dollar NBA star, got into a confrontation in a locker room with Washington Wizards teammate, Gilbert Arenas and pistols were drawn.

Massive hurricane Irene, which slowly churned over the East Coast of America, moving through multiple states, has left 21 people dead and approximately $45 billion dollars in damage in the United States, due to flooding, damaged buildings and economic shutdowns. Over 4,000,000 people have been left without electricity and for some it will be two weeks before it returns.
The hurricane left 5 people dead in the Caribbean and created roughly $3 billion dollars in damage to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Turks and Caicos and the Dominican Republic. Tens of thousands of people have been left homeless. It has become one of the costliest hurricanes in history. The hurricane is said to be heading towards Canada.

The U.S. government is warning people to be vigilant in the coming days, as the swelling of rivers in America could mean additional flooding. A few prominent individuals mocked the seriousness of the hurricane as overblown, but any storm that leaves over two dozen casualties and nearly $50 billion in damage is serious.
As someone that has lived through 5 hurricanes, including Andrew, I can attest, it is not something to be taken lightly. After hurricane Wilma, there was no electricity for two weeks, which was an unpleasant experience and not just due to having no internet or regular television service, but the pervasive darkness. Still, others have had it worse (see: Hurricane Katrina).

Dumping ballot boxes in the Everglades, as his brother had done in 2000, with the Supreme Court, under Justice Scalia, handing him the election. The Bush family are a massive liability to the Republican party and need to stay away.

Politicians need sound advice about Florida and every other state. People can't pay their bills, as they have lost their jobs or are facing reduced hours. People want to own their own homes and not be gouged by banks. People want affordable food. Currently, food costs are too high, forcing many to pick cheap brands that are not always healthy. People want to be able to send their children to university and many can't because of lack of scholarships and rising tuition fees.

People want affordable insurance of all kinds, so they don't have to worry if they get sick or their home is hit by a natural disaster. Immigrants want to be given a chance to be lawful, productive citizens that contribute to the economy, not take away from it, as some wrongly assume. People don't want canned answers and phony campaign promises, but real solutions that will be implemented.
